Donating items for Babies, Children, or Pregnant Moms
There are times when we know of families with babies or young children who have specific needs. We list all such requests on our homepage. If we have no such needs posted, and you have items to donate - some good organizations to contact are listed below. If you can store your items for a while - contact us and we'll post them on our database - then if we get a request we can contact you. THANKS!
See home page for a list of any needs. If you have any questions for us - send them to stuff@tecare.org.

Good organizations to consider when making donations

- We learned about 2 people who collect stuffed animals that are given to police and fire departments in Delaware County - these are then used when there is a fire to help with the children in the house that was damaged. There are very specific requirements for these donations - if you have stuffed animals that fit these restrictions - send an email to Carole and she'll give you more details about making the donations. They do not pick up items.
We can accept stuffed animals if they fit the following description:
a) New or very gently used stuffed animals in excellent condition; b) Must be soft and cuddly, not stiff; c) Not smaller than 6" or bigger than 12" tall - must fit in one gallon size ziploc bag d) No Beanie Babies; e) Not animated or talking (battery operated); f) No TV cartoon characters (ie: Sponge Bob, Sesame Street characters, etc.) Exceptions: soft classic Disney characters like Mickey & Minnie Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, etc.; g) No sea animals, bugs, or reptiles; h) No Holiday-styled animals with seasonal trimmings (Santa hats, Valentine hearts, etc.)
